The APCO System is a collection of web based investment decision support tools and trade routing tools. Data is loaded into the APCO system from a custodian’s asset accounting system, or from third party portfolio accounting platforms. Users can generate orders and have them filled automatically, or they can be routed to a centralized trading desk to be worked with other orders. The trading desk can block the orders and work them electronically or manually. APCO then allocates the block execution results across the participating portfolios. The trader then uses APCO to send these allocations to the custodian so clearing can be accomplished.
